Business Meeting
October 19, 2011
Opened meeting with Serenity Prayer.
COMMITTEE REPORTS:
• Treasurer–Melody* | District 19 or area 58 check hasn’t cleared. She needs to get in touch with someone to figure this out and is wondering who to contact.
• GSR–Andy* | A sponsorship workshop is coming up soon. Things are going well.
• Grapevine–Corey | No report.
• EVI–Mark Z.* | EVI low on money but that’s typical this time of year
• Diverter–Megan- Things are going OK
• Activities–Jenny S., Tess B. | Jenny says there will be a potluck for November, still picking a date. Can anyone have it at their house?
• Webmaster–Tim J.* | Check out our website at trygodgroup.com
• H&I–Danny | Last month were elections, went well. A few positions still open
• Archivist–Siri V. | Nothing new, but there will be next month
SECRETARY REPORTS:
• Sunday–Shelly* |Going well
• Monday–Mindy* | Going great
• Wed. Beg.–Susie* | Beginners are there. It’s going well.
• Wednesday–Debi* | Going well
• Thursday– Tony* | 17 to 18 people showing up. Sorry that no one showed up with the key the other night.
• Friday–Angela and Karen• | Karen says could use more people, donate more money, are getting speakers from Portland.
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Tabled motion to change Wed literature meeting an open meeting. Brief discussion, followed by a call for the question which was seconded. Group voted to vote on the motion. 2/3 majority voted to keep it closed. 3 people shared from the minority, some members wanted to vote again and change their vote. 2/3 (31-5)majority voted to keep meeting closed.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. GSR Andy brought a motion from area. Area wants to contact GSO to get their experience, strength, and hope regarding their online donation system. Are the groups OK with that? Group voted and approved motion.
2. Wendy was voted in as Wed night literature rep.
Motion to close. Seconded.
Meeting closes at 9:00 pm with the "I am responsible."
