Try God Group Business Meeting
April 20, 2011
Opened meeting with Serenity Prayer. Asked for and welcomed new members and send around phone list to update.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:
• Treasurer — Angela* | Made up $500.00 prudent reserve with additional $215.00
• GSR — Andy* | No report.
• Grapevine —Adam | Has Grapevines for Sunday.
• EVI — Lindsey B. | EVI has service positions available; printable version of meeting list is avail;able the the EVI website for download; EVI having meeting to discuss behavior issues of volunteers and visitors.
• Diverter — Melody O. | Went to EVI diverter meeting, got tips from EVI diverter coordinator; problems with Try God Group following diverter protocols–Melody will work to address.
• Activities — Mindy S., Tess B. | Booked Baker's Bay at Dorena Lake in Cottage Grove for TGG Summer Picnic on August 13; Mindy wants feedback on Pool Party location for next month (between Tamarack Pool and Emerald Park Pool). .
• Webmaster — Tim J.* | Web's working well, keeping it current.
• H&I — Alexa | H+I meets last Wednesday of every month at EVI, services positions are available; H+I looking to fill three at-large steering committee positions.
• Archivist — Siri V. | Beginning process of answering group history questionaire
SECRETARY REPORTS:
• Sunday — Lynn* | Great, 20-25 people attending; Lynn mentions possibility of TGG members donating time to MvNail-Riley house maintenance as way of seventh tradition compensation for free space.
• Monday — Debra* | Meeting full and great, meeting greeters are working out well.
• Wed. Beg. — Kevin B.* | Lindsey for Kevin: some newcomers showing up and regular TGG home group members in attendance.
• Wednesday — Jenny S.* | Meetings going well.
• Thursday — Danny M.* | Wonderful, averaging 12 people.
• Friday — Marilyn H.*, Tracy B.* | Marilyn: packed out, a buzz, a thrill; great service happening
OLD BUSINESS:
1. Motion presented (submitted by Kurt J. ): “When more than one person stands for a service position, candidates state their service experience prior to a group vote.”; discussion ensued, pro and con, for 5-7 minutes, question called, seconded; 10 in favor of motion, 28 opposed, motion fails, no minority opinion.
NEW BUSINESS:
1. Rose volunteers to fill in as Birthday Coordinator for the Friday Night Meeting, elected.
2. Richard volunteers to take Smoking Coordinator position, elected.
3. Election for Wednesday Setup position, new member Gary volunteers, elected.
4. Motion to create new Wednesday Night Cup Cleanup person. Seconded. Motion passes.
5. Motion to elect Wednesday Night Cup Cleanup person, Santana volunteers, elected
5. Election for Diverter Alternate, Megan volunteers, elected.
6. Steve asks about lack of literature at the Wednesday Night Newcomer meeting; literature is supposed to be there, and is the responsibility of the secretary; should have one big book, one 12 x 12, newcomer packets.
Motion to close. Seconded.
Meeting closes at 9:00 pm with the "I am responsible."
